Splash! Summer time appeals to all one’s senses like sight, sound, taste, touch,
and smell. I see lots of spectacular things in the summer, like the warm sun shining through the window in the morning when I wake up, and kids playing in their front yards running through their sprinklers.
I love to go outside on a sunny summer morning and take a big whiff of the freshly cut grass. I also like when the grass is very long so it tickles my feet when I play wiffle ball on it with my friends. Best of all is when I am outside and I smell the barbecues going and I can almost taste those juicy, tender burgers with the cheese melted on top.
I love to go to the beach, especially ones with big waves for action or ones with no waves so I can have a nice relaxing day on the beach. I love to make sand castles with my favorite cousin, Ryan, and my brother, Michael. I love to stick my feet in the hot sand and relax. My family has lots of fun together and I always wish it would never end. My favorite things to do when its raining outside is to play Uncharted 3 on my Play Station 3. I also like to do video chat with my cousins on the Play Station 3.
However, the highlight of the summer is the fact there is no school. Of course, that means I don’t get to see my friends, play in the jazz band, participate in basketball, or run track. It may be a fortunate fact that summer only lasts a few months.
